#THE CAT RETURNS BARON MOVIE#
The movie did a disservice to Aoi Hiiragi's vision. The manga somewhat resembles a story by Kenji Miyazawa. The manga has a high-art vibe that makes you question whether our inner worlds could be considered "alive" and what it means to bond with other beings it effectively conveys such profound, deep questions through its use of ambiguity during key moments, giving it an ethereal and mysterious atmosphere.

Moreover, the manga has many oneiric scenes that the movie left out, some of which tread on metaphysical territory that is difficult to discuss without It, thereby, changed significant plot elements, which degraded Aoi Hiiragi's original numinous vision. However, the movie solely places emphasis on believing in oneself, which feels trite by itself. The manga's primary theme involves coming to terms with the loss of a loved one, and it has a more magical realist touch that blurs the line between inner and outer. The original manga of The Cat Returns by Aoi Hiiragi has a much more subtle, evocative message than its movie adaptation. To further show his gratitude, the Cat King gives Haru a tablet that describes that she will receive five gifts: lacrosse sticks to make up the one that broke while saving the prince, a field of green foxtails, catnip, canned mice-and marriage! Haru expresses her displeasure for the gifts to one of the king's servants, but the servant unfortunately takes her answer toward the marriage offer to Prince Lune as a "yes." Unsure of what to do, Haru is directed by a voice who tells her to go to the Cat Office for help-but will they be able to help her with this problem? As if that wasn't weird enough, a large group of cats arrive in front of her house later that night with the cat's father, a Cat King, thanking her for saving his son, Prince Lune. One day, Haru saves a cat from being hit by a truck-only to see the cat stand up and thank her for her kindness before running off. EditSynopsis Haru Yoshioka is somewhat awkward for a high school student, often screwing up in public and, to her dismay, in front of her crush Machida.
